Paper Makes Me Smile

Just a few of the goodies from Paper Source. A very cool store, sells a lot of what else, PAPER stuff! I was happy to see that they got in some Japanese Washi tape. They had just gotten in 4 packages, my friend and I bought them all. They told us they would order more designs.

Stencil 101 in smaller designs for paper. Yay! I have the regular size. I adore the Deer Stag one.

I made an impromptu little gallery(on the Wall, in the Hall) with the Japanese tape and photos from slides my Dad took back in the 50's in Las Vegas. This tape is fun because it is removable and does not seem to leave a residue. Hubby says "Oh no, now she'll be taping stuff to walls everywhere". Probably... At least till I get bored with that.

Forgot to mention, the Paper Source bag is as gorgeous as the stuff they put in it. Very nice to cut up for journal pages or whatever. Don't waste a bit.

Anthropology Love

I am totally in love with the displays at Anthropology. At least once a month I like to go by and take a look at their windows,as well as inside displays. Sometimes I go back once in awhle to get a second look at something and find it gone and all new stuff in its place. This time they had a really cool "stenciled" looking one. It appears to be partly on clear vinyl, some on fabric, and some on paper, layered over some painted directly on the wall. Love it. The flash kind of washed it out, it was really blue over some lighter aqua paint.

Wind & Rain, Wind & Rain

Sadly enough, no spraypainting here in an entire week. So nothing to show. If this wind does not stop soon I may have to buy more plastic tarps to cover the stuff in the garage so I can spray there. It's dark and dreary here today and we are under tornado watch. Yesterday a pal came over and we did cut stencils and watch all the videos from Mary Ann's class. I have a new collection of stencils to play with, so I am itching to get some things done.

How hard can spray painting be?

I've been really anxious to get outside and spray paint and stencil, but every day we have had high winds, and when it has stopped blowing, it has rained. Now I love the rain, and we really need it. But doggone it, I need to get my portfolio sprayed. I did some one day but the wind kept blowing the paint back in my hair and face, and even though I had my gas mask on, I ended up getting a migraine. Not fun. Yesterday we had some really heavy downpour. This is out my front door. This afternoon the sun did come out so I ran out and set everything up and started spraying and next thing I know I am being attacked by ants! I wonder if I will ever get this portfolio finished.
